But to sweeten the deal, TradeStation recently revamped their promotional and marketing efforts and now offer all market data completely free of charge.

The reason we love TradeStation is simple. The offer access to a huge range of international futures products, most of which are optionable, and their commissions are cheap – real cheap. To the surprise of many, TradeStation is one of the few brokers that actually let’s their clients trade FTSE 100 futures. TD Ameritrade, which is very popular for futures trading, doesn’t offer access to any international futures.
Our only qualm with TradeStation is that their downloadable platform doesn’t work on a Mac without using some type of Windows parallel software. The web-based platform seems to suffice, though.

Trading Platforms
Thankfully, TradeStation no longer charges clients to receive level II real-time market data for options and stocks. TradeStation offers a decent mobile application as well as a downloadable platform and very capable web-based platform. Plus, now that Radar Screen is free, scanning stock based on characteristics like penny increment options, etc. has never been easier.
